Hmmmmmmm FOOD! I’ve always been a foodie ever since I can remember, I guess I get it from my mum who loves cooking and trying lots of different cuisines! I asked on Instagram whether you guys wanted a post on my favourite places to eat and you said yes! So here I’ll be sharing my favourite restaurants, all tried and tested so that you can go there and see for yourself!
On the Bab
Lover of Asian food? Then On the Bab is literally the place to go! Based on Korean Street Food, it’s one of the few restaurants around that serve authentic Asian food. I guess the only reason I know this is because of the number of Koreans that are always in the restaurant and how all the chefs are Korean too! If you see people who are from the country eating there, you know its a good place! My all time favourite thing to eat has to be the Bao’s! Ahhhh they’re literally so so good! They’re simply a really soft white bun filled with really juicy meat (there is a selection of spicy pork, beef bulgogi and fried chicken ๐ ) and then further filled with other yummy goodies! Honestly, this beats a burger any day and is one of the best things I’ve ever had! Another fave of mine is their fried chicken, I know that you’re probably thinking KFC but it’s most definitely not a southern fried chicken! I don’t really know how they do it, but I believe that they deep fry the chicken, coat it in an AMAZING sweet soya sauce and then fry it for a second time! Ahhh, it’s literally so so good!
Speciality foods are often rather expensive but I must say that for good Asian food On the Bab is such good value for money! Per person you can most definitely spend less than ยฃ10 for a hearty sized meal, which for London I would say is such a bargain! This restaurant is most definitely the top of my list for my all time favs!

Josie’s
PANCAKES! ๐ย
There is NO denying that Josie’s has been my guilty pleasure for the last two and a half years of my life! hahaha ๐ I first came across it when I started out in college and wanted to find somewhere cute for lunch with my gals ( must say it was fairly easy considering we were in Winchester). Almost every week I would go into town to get my Josie’s fix and oh boy I do not regret a single thing! The best thing they do is most definitely their pancakes! An All American big fat juicy stack of pancakes with so many different topping options! My personal favourite has to be the banana and berry compote with vanilla cream; it’s so delicious omg, especially if you ask for extra salted caramel sauce ! Hahaha ๐ Not only are their pancakes amazing but their savoury stuff is also damn good! My personal fav is either the “smashed minted peas” (the cover photo ๐ ) or The Breakfast Taco, both are just so good! I would honestly suggest to anyone to go to Josie’s! It honestly has to be one of my all time favourite cafรฉs ever!!

Franco Manca
PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA!ย
Okay so firstly, sorry for the lack of photos of YUMMYYY pizza’s! The lighting in Franco Manca isn’t the best for getting good shots!
I would always say that going out for a Pizza in the UK is a pretty risky move, you can often pay a lot of money for something that isn’t quite spectacular or authentic. ( I must admit that’s how I feel about places such as Pizza Express!) My Italian friend told me that there was a new pizza restaurant in town that we had to try, so naturally when an Italian approves you know it must be good! I was honestly so surprised! Out came this MASSIVE pizza which there was just no way I could finish and it tasted to damn good! Even though they may not have exotic toppings and are rather simple, they honestly tasted insane! All theirย pizzaiolo’s are trained in Italy for a couple of months before being allowed to make the pizza’s back in UK restaurants, so you can be sure that your pizza is being made by a professional!
They may have a small menu but they always have really nice specials and I can honestly say they’re one of the best pizza’s (in the uk ๐ ) that I’ve ever had! Once again, if you’re on a budget or a student like me, you can easily spend less than ยฃ10 on a pizza and a shared starter so it’s most definitely good value for money!

The first three restaurants are definitely the perfect place to go if you’re on a budget and looking for a fabulous meal, but if you’re looking for fine dining then the last two are the ones for you! (And no I don’t go to these restaurants every week, I’ve been lucky enough to go here on some very special occasions and I wanted to share them with you ๐ .)
Chez Dominique

So this is a very cute and small French restaurant found in Bath City centre, which I went to last summer as a special treat while on holiday. Although it’s a little on the expensive side, everything tasted so good!! The starter was an amazing mackerel dish and then for mains we had a super yummy veal dish! Ahhhh, finally the dessert was the best thing ever, yummiest chocolate fondant ever! Just cutting into it all and watching the all the chocolate ooze out of the middle…Hmmmmmm SOOO GOOD! I would definitely say the food was just so gorgeous, things tasted amazing and was presented so well as well! (So weird, how having food presented nicely somehow makes all ย taste so much nicer lol ๐ .) If you are ever in Bath and your parents want to treat you I would DEFINITELY say you have to go to Chez Dominque!

Bao
Hmmmmm Bao’s!!! I love a good Bao! This restaurant serves similar food to On The Bab but of Vietnamese background, and serves such little delights ! Similar to Dim Sum, Bao serves small dishes of amazing flavours, such as this amazing quail egg and smoked chicken rice and slices of amazing beef. Hmmm all of it was so juicy and honestly was some of the tastiest food I’ve ever had! You know whats even more crazy?! Theres ALWAYS a massive queue around the corner of the road to get in, my dad and I had to wait 40 minutes to get a table! I know that for some people it can be off putting but the flavours that were conjured up by the Bao chefs is just unimaginable! Even though it’s not cheap, I would definitely say it’s worth going to at least once! Found in the heart of Soho in Central London, it’s got the buzzing atmosphere of any big city !
The menu may be small but most definitely doesn’t fail to impress!
